How to register for the DELF?
Prepmyfuture provides details here on the steps to follow and the information to remember when registering for the DELF ( What is the DELF? ) .
Who can register
The DELF/DALF is a diploma that certifies proficiency in a certain level of French. It is therefore intended for foreigners or French citizens from a non-French-speaking country who do not hold a French secondary or higher education diploma.
Where to register ?
First, you need to find out which center you want to take the exam at. There are exam centers all over the world.
Complete your registration form
You will find the registration form on the exam center's website. You can also pick it up in person at the center. You will be asked for a copy of a ID that must be valid on the day of the exam . Payment is made by check or credit card ( How much does the DELF cost? ). Everything, including payment, must be returned by a certain deadline: it depends on the exam date you choose (generally, registration closes one month before).
It is up to you to choose the date on which you wish to take the exam: you will have the choice between several available dates.
Registration validation
If your registration is complete, you will receive your test schedule one to two weeks before the exam date. If you still haven't received anything a week before, contact your center.
Registration advice
When you register for the DELF or DALF exams, you must carefully choose the level of the tests you will be taking (and therefore the level at which you will be assessed). If you have no idea what your level is, we suggest you test yourself.
Register for the level you actually have, not the level you wish you had. Otherwise, you risk failing.
Please note that a candidate cannot register for both the DELF Pro and the DELF General Public exams. You must choose based on your project ( Why take the DELF? ).
