This new interactive module aims to give future engineers confidence as they work in an English-speaking professional environment. Its goal is to help them develop their language skills in relation to the tasks, skills, and vocabulary they will need to perform in their roles. The objective of this course is not to teach engineering per se, but rather to help transfer their skills and abilities from a first-language environment to an English-speaking one.
To make the learning process as effective as possible, learners practice English while familiarizing themselves with the vocabulary, grammar, and syntax of general business English and technical engineering English, as well as numerous professional situations and skills. To achieve this, the course uses a variety of resources such as videos, authentic situations, and grammar and vocabulary lessons focused on the skills and knowledge students will need.
This course is also scripted. It places you in the shoes of a consulting engineer. Through 10 different projects, you'll become familiar with various professional skills, engineering fields, and language tools that will make you a better engineer.
