How to register for the IELTS test?

Find your center

The first thing to do is find the test center nearest you. Each center offers several dates throughout the year. The IELTS ( What is the IELTS test? ) is administered in France at British Council centers.

The IELTS test is not recommended for people under 16 years of age.

Complete your registration form

In France, IELTS is supervised by the British Council.

You can register:

• Online on the IELTS website or on the British Council website. You must have your digital ID. Make sure it will be valid on the day of the test (you will need to bring it with you) . Payment for the test is then made online (How much does the IELTS cost?) by bank transfer or check, which must be sent within 5 days of registration.
• 
  By printing and completing the registration form found on the IELTS website and bringing it to your test center. Also bring a copy of your ID. Payment will be made to the center by check or bank transfer.

Each session has a limited number of places. We therefore recommend registering 2 to 3 months before your desired date.

Validation of your registration

If your registration is confirmed, you will receive your candidate codes by email from your test center, which will allow you to access the platform where your results will be published. You will also receive an email notification two weeks before the test, specifying the date and time of the test.
