The price of the test is €240 and remains the same regardless of the test format chosen ( Why take the IELTS test? ).
Preparing for the IELTS test
Payment is made to the center where you register. There are several payment methods:
- online by credit card
- by check addressed to your examination center
- in cash (only at the British Council Paris)
If you register online but wish to pay by check, You must send your check within 5 days of registration . After this time, the registration will be canceled.
Refund
If you have registered but wish to withdraw, you will need to send the cancellation form to your center at least 5 weeks before the exam date . However, you will not be fully reimbursed: €50 will be deducted to cover the cost of processing your file.
You can also postpone your exam date once free of charge . However, this postponement is only possible within the limit of available places and must be requested at most 5 weeks before the date initially allocated to you.
Less than 5 weeks before the test date, you can no longer cancel or postpone. However, if a major incident (death of a loved one, accident, etc.) prevents you from taking the test, You can fill out a refund form , available on the British Council website, and send it within 5 days of the test.
If your request is approved, you will receive your refund 6 to 8 weeks later.
