How long does the TAGE MAGE last?

The TAGE MAGE ( What is the TAGE MAGE? ) is a test that assesses your skills in calculation, logic and comprehension, but it is also a test that assesses your mastery of time.

You will need to be familiar with the various exercises to spend as little time as possible on each question, especially since progress through the test follows pre-defined schedules: you will not be able to return to any of the parts you have already answered. Duration of the tests

The total duration of the test is 2 hours . Before the test begins, there will be a 30-minute explanation detailing the TAGE MAGE procedure. However, you should allow 3.5 hours, including arrival at the test center and waiting to collect your exam papers.

There are no breaks between tests, so make sure you plan ahead before entering the room.

Time management

The unique feature of the TAGE MAGE is that the question booklet you'll receive on test day is organized so that you can only move forward in the test when the proctors tell you to. The booklet has six pages, each page containing the exercises for a sub-section.

You have 20 minutes per page (i.e., per sub-section). The invigilators will monitor the time very precisely, telling you how much time you have left as you go. When the time is up, you must move on to the next page and under no circumstances return to a previous page, or you will be expelled from the room. On each new page, the invigilator will read the instructions for the sub-section, and you will have another 20 minutes.

Advice

One way to avoid being caught short by time is to break it up. Specifically, force yourself to spend only 1 minute and 20 seconds per question so that you have the same amount of time to think about each one. Each time you exceed this rule, you'll have less time for the following questions, which may well turn out to be even harder!
