1- The grading of the tests

Each IELTS test is marked between 0 and 9.

For each test, it is possible to have a round mark (e.g.: 5, 6, 7, etc.) or a mark with a half point (e.g.: 5.5, 6.5, 7.5, etc.).

2- Calculate your overall score

The overall grade is then obtained by averaging the 4 grades obtained in each test. It often happens that the average obtained is not a round grade, but the overall score must be:

• If you get an overall score of 5.875, then the overall score is rounded to the nearest half point, which is 6.0.
