Where to take the IELTS
This test is organized in France by the British Council. Sessions are held in 0 cities in France: Paris, Nantes, Lyon, Lille, Marseille, Nice, Strasbourg, Bordeaux and Biarritz . When registering ( How to register for the IELTS? ), it's up to you to choose in which city you want to take it.
Registration for a session at a test center is done on a first-come, first-served basis. It is therefore strongly recommended to register two months before the test date to ensure you get the date you choose.
Availability on site
Not all parts of the IELTS test ( What is IELTS? ) are always held at the same time. The Speaking section can sometimes be delayed by a few days.
So, if you choose Paris as your center, the Speaking part can take place on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday while the other tests can take place on Saturday. You must therefore ensure that you are available during these days when you choose your exam date.
Conversely, the Lyon, Marseille and Nantes sessions have all the test parts taken on the same day (Saturday).
The exact dates and the address of the center will be communicated to you at least two weeks before the chosen date.
